Idle Frets – Aftershow: Single Review

Defining a band, or single as ‘upbeat’ or ‘summery’ are classic terms in any wannabe muso’s armoury. However Idle frets, and specifically on their biggest single to date, ‘Aftershow’, really embody the oh-so desirable ‘convertible mustang driving down the Florida coastline’ sound that every indie band aspires to conquer.

Reminiscent of early Foster The People or what we all hoped Theme Park would become, this latest material seems more daring and creative than past ventures. The Chester 4-piece have been making waves on the Northern, and oh so saturated Liverpool scene, and CloseUp Promotions are thrilled to be hosting their obvious talent on July 1st in London, at our unique Club CloseUp venue the Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen.
