Marsicans – Swimming: Single Review

Marsicans are a band that upon listen, nobody doesn’t like. Insanely catchy guitar hooks with choruses that you don’t forget in a hurry, this is no different with latest venture, ‘Swimming’. Fitting for any BBQ, pub garden or festival stage, the latest track captures perfectly the sound we have come to parallel so frequently with one of ‘Leeds new hottest properties.

Opening lyrics ‘Stop talking all the time, please rest your weary mind, this nervousness is hurting us, and I am not inclined’ remind the listener that despite the rambunctious yet engaging backing track, Marsicans have the lyrical talent to back it up.

With a spattering of northern tour stops, we welcome the 4 piece to our debut Club CloseUp at the Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen (27/5/16) sponsored by Jagermeister. Add ‘Swimming’ into the mix with past achievements ‘Arms of Another’ and ‘Gone in a Second’ and their live set is set to be something of huge proportions.
