Club CloseUp 27/5/16 – Marsicans & Pleasure House + Glass Peaks (w/ Jagermeister)

On the 27th May, our newly located and new feel Club CloseUp debuts at the Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen. With a tantalizing blend of the finest indie music travelling from all corners of the country to grace the stage, we really are painfully excited.

Co-headlining the showcase with their enigmatic fast paced indie, all the way from Leeds, Marsicans. With previous accomplishments ‘Gone in a Second’ and ‘Arms of Another’ advertising their obvious talent outside of their hometown, 2016 has seen Marsicans touring nationwide to much acclaim. Make sure to watch out for latest single ‘Swimming’, a sure fire summer banger worthy of any BBQ playlist.

Our old friends Pleasure House are our other co-headliner, back with new material in their armoury and more suitors alike. The release of their debut EP ‘Show Your Colours’ aligned with lead single ‘Cyan’ premiering on the highly prestigious ‘Line of Best Fit’, showed these 4 Brummie lads mean business.

Opening the show, Folkestone 4-piece Glass Peaks have had a really exciting few months, with numerous tour stops and festival slots announced for what is set to be a big year for them. Citing inspirations ranging from Joy Division to Foals, brooding and moody guitar adds to what is already being dubbed one of the best up and coming live sets around.

With our sponsors Jagermeister offering drinks deals and more on the night, Club CloseUp is not only offering some of the best live talent but also aspiring to create a unique regular London showcase that provides it all.
