Be Still – Only Shadows: Single Review

Only Shadows make upbeat indie rock in the vein of Peace and Swim Deep. Their reputation has helped them gain recognition from the likes of BBC Introducing who have described them as “one of the UK’s most rising bands while a committed work ethic has gained them a steady fanbase. The band released a single ‘Be Still’ earlier this year from their upcoming debut album, due to be released in the summer.

‘Be Still’ already has elements of a band who are confident in where they want to be, the guitars and drums are produced immaculately, and both work in tandem with each other. There are a handful of records I’ve heard this year that come with this sort of attention to detail, while the soaring vocals are a perfect fit for arenas. If their debut album has more tracks like ‘Be Still’ then Only Shadows are set up for big things.

Make sure to catch Only Shadows at Club CloseUp w/Jagermeister on June 24th at the Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen with SAHARA and Silent Crowd.
