Cavaliers – Gannet: Single Review

CloseUp artist and Winchester born (thus having even more of a place in our heart) Cavaliers are well known for their upbeat indie-pop and audacious song titles (Adam Richman Makes His Favourite Sandwich, Kelso vs The Moon Landing, and thats just to name a few) and luckily enough, new single ‘Gannet’ has both.

The beauty of this track lies within its blend of intricacy and eccentricity, layering guitar over guitar in an understated yet encapsulating way. Lyrically the foundations of the song surround the concept of individual masking, and how frustrating that can be, ‘You think you’re all smoke and mirrors, but all across your face the truth is plain’.

Cavaliers have a knack for producing feel good music, and this is no different despite the lyrical integrity, with their latest release.

Check out the single below, and make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the guys heading out on tour soon.
