Club CloseUp returns to the Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen on July 1st for an awesome lineup of live music. With our sponsors Jagermeister sorting the drinks, Hoxton sorting out the amazing venue and us sorting out the lineup, we are certain it’ll be a great night.
Our headliners Native People have had an amazing 2016, with 2 nationwide tours, several festival appearances, BBC Radio play and more already ticked off in the first 7 months of the year. Typifying the oh-so popular indie dance genre, Native People do it better than so many of their rivals. With lead singer Reuben Todd’s unique voice stratified upon perfectly executed guitar, synth and drums, we speak from experience when we say these guys are absolutely flawless live. With a knack for getting a crowd dancing, do not miss out on their biggest London headline to date.
DE’NOVA are a 3 piece from Manchester, and have honed their craft internationally, performing all over the globe to fine tune their dark indie sound. Forming in 2012, one track to certainly look out for will be ‘Brighter Days’. Lead single of their latest EP ‘Young Hearts’, its packed full of heavy basslines and catchy hooks, defining the sound they have become well established for delivering. Make sure you don’t miss after a long break since they last played the capital.
Opening Club CloseUp on July 1st, dark pop courtesy of South Londoners Hows Harry. With a recent re-brand, HH have come back bigger, bolder and punchier. Recent single ’26’ demonstrates this, with rip roaring guitars paired with lyricism full of wit and attitude (Much like their name) reminiscent of High Tyde and many more. Having headlined our previous Club CloseUp venue the Camden Barfly, to a near sold out room, Hows Harry will no doubt have the room packed early on July 1st, and you don’t want to miss it.
With a massive lineup, we cannot wait for the next Club CloseUp.
