Fairchild are an Australian 4-piece based who have found themselves in Manchester. Their indie rock sound is a homage to the 1980’s, helping them gain a fanbase following tours in Australia, North America, and Europe. They recently released a new track, ‘Neighbourhoods’, produced by the well known Catherine Marks (Foals, Wolf Alice, PJ Harvey). Written during pre-production sessions in Gold Coast, it’ll be part of your summer soundtrack, oozing plenty of confidence.
Lead singer Adam Lyons’ vocals are upbeat and powerful, but perhaps more importantly work perfectly in tandem with Tim Voeten and Patrick Huerto’s intertwining guitars. The clap of the snare drum is a key reference point because it carries the track forward, giving it a huge sound. It’s also mixed beautifully, as all the elements can be heard clearly and demonstrates all the band members’ more than obvious talents.
‘Neighbourhoods’ is a track that is sure to get people dancing at Fairchild’s live shows, the feel-good vibe making them ones to look out for in the future.
