CLAY – Honest: Single Review

CLAY, the Leeds 4 piece who are picking up some serious heat at the moment, have just dropped a new EP, and new lead single, ‘Honest’. Known for their rowdy, upbeat, dance heavy indie pop, the new single see’s CLAY take a different stance.

Coupling a heavy drum and synth beat with endearing, and seemingly heartfelt lyrics, it allows for a different track to grace their repertoire. They are quickly establishing themselves as one of 2016’s hype bands (Turning the heads already of TMRW and Clash in recent weeks), and ‘Honest’ appears to be a sign of maturity and development. It will no doubt transgress perfectly into their much talked about live set, especially alongside older tracks ‘Stay Calm!’ and ‘Oxygen’.

Catch CLAY at Club CloseUp on August 12th, for one hell of a party on the London stop of their national headline tour.
