NGOD – Can You Hear Me: Single Review

NGOD are an unsigned band from Bradford who are making waves in the indie scene through playing the likes of Festival No 6, YNot Festival, and Victorious Festival in recent times. This has given them a lot of exposure to a wider audience, as they release their anticipated new single, ‘Can You Hear Me’ on Sony Music.

‘Can You Hear Me’ is an example of brilliant songwriting, with an extremely addictive bassline and a chorus which once you hear it, will stick in your head for days. The refrain of “There’s always something going on / There’s always something kicking off” in the build up is a slice of pop perfection. The funk-influenced guitar helps NGOD stand out from their contemporaries, adding a new twist to their sound, while the harmonies are easily hummable.

All these elements combined make NGOD a solid new band to add to your collection. If they can put out more infectious tracks, they will be destined for bigger things in the future.
