Youth Club – Sorry: Single Review

Youth Club are one of the most talked about bands on the UK indie scene, ascending through in the past 2 years to become a sort of emerging act royalty. Just about everyone knows when a Youth Club song is on, pop infused indie has become synonymous with the Southend 4-piece.

‘Sorry’ brings some continuity to the legacy they have slowly been creating. Infectious, catchy, and ‘Dancey’ are just some of the adjectives that could be used to describe their long-awaited new single. YC are known for their upbeat melodies yet thought provoking lyricism, and with their upbeat guitar/synth/Jamaican drum backdrop on ‘Sorry’, come deeper and more meaningful lyrics, ‘Sorry, sorry sorry, can’t you see enough is enough?’.

Youth Club head to Brighton on November 17th to play our CloseUp x Ticketweb Presents show at BLEACH. With their notoriously stellar live performance, and support from Jakil, Lighthouse and Holly Isobelle, make sure you don’t miss out on their last Brighton performance of the year.
