PLAZA – Youth: Single Review

Hartlepool 4-piece PLAZA have become synonymous with heavy, anthemic alternative indie. New single ‘Youth’ is no different, demonstrating yet more coming of age from a relatively young and new on the scene act.

‘Youth’ has already caught the eye of many, the track build and builds into a frenzy musically, but still keeping the calm lyrical hook of ‘I want it all, do you want it all? I need it all, do you need it all?’ throughout, ironically showing a calmness and  if anything more maturity than youthful exuberance whilst carefully layered guitars wrapped in reverb add an eeriness to the track.

PLAZA debuted at Club CloseUp on 3/11 and absolutely killed it. Their live performance is certainly as solid as their recordings, something which is no doubt difficult to achieve from such a complex sound. Check out ‘Youth’, below:
