CloseUp Promotions: Sounds of 2017

There is a number of acts that we are just absolutely certain are destined for big things next year, albeit there are varying levels of success a band can have, but here is who we think is set to climb the ladder in one way or another in 2017:

The Night Cafe:

The Liverpool 4-piece have gained many suitors this year, recently heading on a national tour, 2017 will no doubt be a groundbreaking year for a band with a great live reputation.

Glass Peaks:

Glass Peaks burst on the scene in early 2016 with nothing more than a teaser video, since then they’ve hit a number of festivals, released their debut single and packed out the Camden Assembly. Expect more of the same in 2017.

Jahkoy:

Somewhere between Frank Ocean and Drake lies Jahkoy. The Toronto based RnB starlet has already released tunes with Schoolboy Q and other big names as he breaks America, the UK is next..

Sisteray:

Punk is on the rise, and leading this rise with their unique take on the genre is Sisteray. 4 lads from London making the music they love, they headline Club CloseUp on Feb 24th as their year will only continue to get bigger and bigger.

Clay:

In the last 6 months, Clay have taken the country by storm. Selling out dates on tour after tour whilst releasing some of the best indie/pop music of the year, Clay have all the potential and the know-how to be 2017’s success story, as well as 2016’s.

Marsicans

Another Leeds act who’ve taken the UK by storm in 2016 is Marsicans. The 4-piece have performed nationwide to much acclaim, and with their ‘Absence EP’ gaining nothing but high praise, what will 2017 bring for Marsicans?

Other honorable mentions also must go to:

  • HAUS
  • Lucas Nord
  • Jerry Williams
  • PLAZA
  • JUDAS
