The Night Cafe – Strange Clothes: Single Review

Liverpool four piece The Night Café bring a bright burst of sunshine in their new single ‘Strange Clothes’.

Having been releasing music since 2015 The Night Café have had time to truly fine tune their sound, creating soaring and well calculated indie, which dances along the borders of pop and rock. ‘Strange Clothes’ is built with a strong punchy drumbeat hanging in careful balance with the near ethereal sounding guitars. Sean Martin’s voice is thoroughly comfortable on top of the melodic instrumentals, driving the track but not overpowering the light and airy sound. Close your eyes during Strange Clothes and it’s easy to be transported to a warm summer afternoon; it’s a stand-out uplifting noise which would easily be at home drifting across a tranquil festival crowd. The Night Café have created a mature and exciting offering in ‘Strange Clothes’, laced in determination and a clear marker for this bands promising future.

Catch The Night Café in a city near you, they are currently on tour in the UK alongside two more of the UK’s most exciting acts, Sundara Karma and Blaenavon.
