Karma Club – Timelines: Single Review

Easing us in with a tropical lead which seems to glide effortlessly over an up paced drum beat, Bath based 4-piece ‘Karma Club,’ introduce us to the first single Timelines from their upcoming EP Smile, It’s Good For You’.

With an array of influences, the Grungy Synth pop group show through resemblances of modern bands like Foals whilst accumulating a darker vibe delivered by 80’s bands; The Cure and Joy Division. Fusing together the Hawaiian shimmers on guitar with a deep soul fuelled vocal, they easily create a new funky pop sound which is still captivating to the ear as it gives a fresh wave over what we’ve previously heard before.

Having previously supported bands on the scene such as High Tyde at Bristol’s ‘The Louisiana’, and SWIMMING GIRLS at Bath’s ill-famed ‘Moles’, you’ll surely be seeing more of these boy as they’ll take to the UK roads preceding this promising release.
