One of Bristol’s most coveted festivals is back this year, as Love Saves The Day returns with a massive lineup. Few other things embody Bristol’s diversity and uniqueness more than this weekend festival, and this year’s lineup certainly is something to shout about. Who should you see at this years LSTD?
1. Mura Masa
A personal favourite of ours, we have watched the development of Guernsey honed Alex Crossan from working out of his bedroom, to selling out UK and US tours in just 2 short years. His debut EP ‘Someday Somewhere’ put him on the map, and features from ASAP Rocky and Charli XCX have solidified his place of one of the worlds most exciting artists right now. Don’t miss him on the Saturday.
Another success story of recent times is East London’s Nao. With her debut Album turning heads worldwide last year, she is another act that you simply have to see at LSTD 2017. Single’s such as ‘Bad Blood’ & ‘Girlfriend’ were at the forefront of the Album campaign, and she even toured with Mura Masa, and featured on track ‘Firefly’. Should we expect something special on the main stage that night?
If there is anyone that knows what it’s like to tour the underground scene which Bristol is so synonymous to, its Kano. With years of touring under his belt, Kano has been at the top of his game for years. As the UK’s grime scene has more recently come to central prominence, Kano’s album ‘Made in the Manor’ showed the rest of the game how it’s done, and even charting at 8 in the UK album chart. Don’t miss him on the Sunday.
Another artist who’ll take to the Love Saves stage on the Sunday is London honed Raye. One of this years more emerging artists, make sure you catch her before shes selling out venues all over the country. Shortlisted for the BBC Sound of 2017 award, and featuring on tracks with Jax Jones and Jonas Blue, her credentials should not be doubted. Miss her on the Sunday at your peril.
