Jakil – Fool Without U: Single Review

London’s hottest property right now ironically comes in the shape of a Scottish band. Edinburgh honed Jakil have been selling out venues all over the capital, and with their Summer perfect grooves its not difficult to see why.

New cut ‘Fool Without U’ embodies the Jakil sound, with intricate guitar laced over a synth backdrop allowing for a 1975-esque opening, whilst the track grows and develops into a full on love ballad.

Jakil’s indie/pop nature almost gives a sense of guilt, as you find yourself immersed in tracks that wouldn’t seem out of place in the cheesiest of Rom-Coms, and ‘Fool Without U’ is no different. The 5-piece headline Thousand Island on July 27th, make sure you grab a ticket to see their (and we speak from experience) awesome live performance.
