If like most of the world, you’ve spent the last few weeks binging on Stranger Things 2, you could be forgiven for thinking How’s Harry’s eighties-inspired intro to their latest track indicates an upside down portal being opened. Out on the 10th November, ‘Gathering Storm’ has elements of eighties style pop synths alongside plenty of rumbling guitars, and shows off lead singer Ike Foulkes gritty vocals. It’s a heavier track for the band, expressing the darker side of indie-pop and the diversity their sound has to offer.
This four piece from the south-east have generated a lot of buzz, gaining support from the likes of BBC Introducing, Sofar Sounds, Jagermeister, Spotify and more. They’ve had an incredible 2017 and recently embarked on a seven-date UK tour which finishes on the 10th November at The Social in London.
So, if you’re a fan of Kasabian style raucous indie chorus’ with energetic pop and powerful guitars, then you’ll want to add ‘Gathering Storm’ to your playlist today, and get ready to sing along when you next catch How’s Harry live.
