It may be freezing outside, but we’ve rounded up a selection of artists who are hot on the scene right now for you to check out. As always, remember to tweet us at @CloseUpPromo and to tell us what you think!

Part of the CloseUp family, SPINN are a 4-piece from Liverpool who have been friends since school. They have truly been making a name for themselves on the indie music scene and started out the year supporting the likes of Ten Fe, Will Joseph Cook and The Sherlocks. In March of this year released the ear-pleasing ‘Home’ with its sunny guitars and chiming chords. To date, it’s had over 150k streams on Spotify alone and the follow up ‘Notice Me’ is nearing 300k streams. They’ve been touring all over the UK this year, performing their indie pop bangers that share dreamy vocals and catchy melodies, and we just know there’s still more to come from these guys!

They describe themselves as “#ApproachableLads who are connoisseurs of jangly dream pop”, so if you enjoy the likes of The Maccabees and Foals, then we guarantee you’ll enjoy giving SPINN a whirl.

SPINN have a brand new single out on the 30th November called ‘She Takes Her Time’ that you’ll be able to check out on Spotify, and they’re currently out on tour where you’ll be able to catch their last couple of dates in Birmingham and Bristol.

Fickle Friends:

Having recently sold out London’s Kentish Town forum, it’s safe to say Brighton’s Fickle Friends are on fire. Formed in 2013, the band have been hailed as pop titans by NME and have built up a loyal following who are helping them make waves through the scene. Their music will make you feel good and is guaranteed to get you on the dance floor.

Best known for their anthem ‘Swim’ that’s racked up over 13 million streams, Fickle Friends continue to release tune after tune with the likes of ‘Hello Hello’ and ‘Glue’ sharing 80’s synth-pop vibes that show off vocalist Natti’s sensational voice. Their recent electric single “It’s hard to be myself” is about having social anxiety and being caught in moments where having a drink can help: “I’m a prisoner to this mood, There’s an explanation and it’s good, I can change my attitude, So open up another” and certainly makes for a party banger.

If you want to catch them live, they’ll be hitting the road from February next year, touring all over the UK to support their debut album due out in March.

Confidence Man:

Hailing from Australia, Confidence Man are a four piece taking the world by storm. Their tagline simply reads ‘Confident Music for Confident People’ and not much is known about them (much to music journalists annoyance). After the release of their dance-pop hit, ’Bubblegum’ earlier in 2017, they’ve been hugely backed by the BBC, including a live session for Huw Stephens, and their infectious track ‘Boyfriend (Repeat)’ featured on Lauren Laverne’s 6 Music Recommends playlist.

Their songs are contagious, upbeat, disco dance floor fillers and their live shows are another level. Expect non-stop energetic, funky, cool fun throughout the whole set – you won’t quite know what’s hit you, but trust us when we say it’s worth experiencing. They’ve been making a name for themselves across the globe, touring worldwide including sets at The Great Escape Festival and Glastonbury. They’ll be in the UK in December at the Deaf Institute in Manchester (5/12), XOYO in London (6/12) and Birmingham (7/12), so make sure to check them out if you can.
