To kick-start your four-day Easter bank holiday weekend right, we thought we’d treat you to a fun-filled night of live music. On Thursday 29th March, in collaboration with Jägermeister, we will be taking over The Hope and Ruin in Brighton and bringing you four incredible artists you won’t want to miss out on…
For headliners Submariner this is their biggest Brighton show to date, so already we can guarantee it’ll be a great one! Fresh with the release of their entrancing new single ‘Ghosts’, the quartet are in the middle of a UK tour setting stages alight with their emotive indie sound. With Submariner you’ll experience a raw, passionate sound as heard in the likes of ‘Stumbling’ and ‘Grow’. They create ambient guitar sounds with both heavy riffs and dreamy jangles that makes them stand out from the crowd. Submariner’s year already looks to be a big one as they continue to make waves on the scene, and we can’t wait to have them perform for us.
RISCAS will be joining the bill, bringing their vibrant sound of summer. Single ‘Panic Like Tom’ has had over 1 million streams on Spotify and made it onto Spotify’s ‘Best of The Indie List 2017’ alongside the likes of The Killers, Wolf Alice and Liam Gallagher. They have been considered ones to watch for 2018 with Radio 1’s Greg James enthusing his love for them. Expect an exuberant set filled with indie anthems such as ‘Talk Your Mind’ and ‘Right Kinda Day’ which you’ll be singing for days.
Brighton band New Tropics will be firing up the amps as they perform their alternative rock sound. They’ve been locked a fair few gigs under their belt already this year including a recent trip across the channel to Paris. Their sound is fuelled with raucous guitars, heavy drums and raw vocals as present in single releases ‘Shoot the Choir’ and ‘Swan Song’. Get a pint in hand and get ready to rock with these guys.
Opening the show will be Yorkshire based Alex Tracey who has been hotly tipped by BBC Introducing and Dork magazine which is no surprise given how infectious his music is. Alex crafts together funk and indie-pop to produce a truly refreshing sound. Check out ‘Crazy’, his latest single which has contagious rhythms and superb riffs, and the energetic ear-worm that is ‘Same Old Animals’. Alex Tracey joins our line up as part of his ‘Dream of Something Crazy’ tour – his biggest tour to date and no doubt will be getting the night started in style.
